NEXT for AUTISM builds national programs that enhance the lives of autistic adults in the areas of home, work, social, health, and well-being, including NEXT for AUTISM FELLOWS, an employment-based scholarship opportunity for students with interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals as a DSP, NEXT CONNECTS, a bi-directional mentorship program to help young autistic adults entering the workforce and improve neuroinclusion within businesses

UAA (Uniquely Abled Academy)

Run by The Uniquely Abled Project, the Uniquely Abled Academy (UAA) is an intensive, 12-to-16-week training program designed to prepare individuals on the autism spectrum for manufacturing careers, primarily as CNC machine operators. The program aims to create inclusive jobs, focusing on strengths like attention to detail to fill high-demand manufacturing positions.

The Online Safety for Teens and Adults with ASD was brought to life by SARRC with a two-year Night of Too Many Stars grant from NEXT for AUTISM. We are proud of our collaboration and to present this safety guide.

SLN is a national non-profit whose mission is to provide siblings of individuals with disabilities the information, support and tools to advocate for their brothers and sisters, and to promote the issues important to them and their entire families.

State of Minnesota Connect 700

The State of Minnesota aspires to be a leader in employing individuals with disabilities. For some individuals with disabilities, traditional interviewing, assessment, selection, and testing methods may not accurately measure their skills and abilities to perform the required job responsibilities. Connect 700 allows eligible individuals with disabilities the opportunity to demonstrate their ability to perform a specific position for up to 700 hours on the job. It is:
- A pre-probationary trial work program
- An alternative employment selection for individuals with certain disabilities seeking employment in the classified service of state government

State of Minnesota Supported Worker Program

The Supported Worker Program provides employment opportunities in state government to individuals with certain disabilities. This program combines several employment techniques including job sharing, reasonable accommodations, and a job coach. There are about 50 full time positions within various state agencies that can be shared by up to three people.
